Shown here is one of the solutions that we assemble to make sound reinforcement for music in worship simple and repeatable. All microphones and instruments for music are routed through a Matrix AutoMixer. We custom fabricate a control panel labeled for the application. The front panel volume controls are programmed so that excessive feedback causing gain cannot be exceeded. Also each group has a master illuminated pushbutton switch to turn that group on/off as needed. All signal routing and equalization is carefully set at system commissioning. This approach provides the music director with headache free sound reinforcement. CD recording, CD Playback, Cassette Playback are included as well. |

Here again a simple to operate (but sophisticated in design and implementation) Choir Sound Reinforcement System was needed. Choir pickup mics, Solo voice and instrument microphones and electronic instruments were required. A typical system implemented with a mixing console could not possibly provide repeatable performance over many years because control settings might be changed from optimum. Returning to the optimum settings would be nearly impossible. Here again we use the Lectrosonics DM1612 Digital Matrix Automixer to provide the music director with highly repeatable sound system performance. All equalization, limiting and maximum gain without feedback was set at system commissioning. All the music director has to do is push a button (or more) to provide clear articulate sound reinforcement. |

These custom controls panels located at the front choir/music location allow simple, repeatable and predictable results from the sound system for the music ministry. Although the controls are simple the associated signal processing is rather complex and is done in a Lectrosonics DM1612 Digital Matrix AutoMixer w/ DSP. The Lectrosonics DM series is our preferred Mixing/Matrix/Signal Processing platform. |
